Connected to the Vic, Moures and Pierre blanche lagoons, the protected natural landscape of the Villeneuve salt marshes forms part of an outstanding lagoon complex covering 1,817 hectares, within the 6,015 hectares of Palavasian lagoons.
It comprises a patchwork of natural environments, comprising both fresh water and salt water where numerous remarkable species, birds in particular, come to breed or to feed.
