Don't miss the exhibition "DJAMEL TATAH, THE THEATER OF SILENCE" from December 10, 2022 to April 16, 2023!
Installed since 2019 in Montpellier, Djamel Tatah, born in 1959 in Saint-Chamond, trained at the Saint-Etienne school of fine arts, has been developing since the 1980s a painting of great sobriety, which places the human figure, evanescent, at the heart of deep colored tints.
This exhibition, made up of around thirty works in often monumental format, seeks to highlight, within five thematic sections, the singularity of his work, which gives a central role to the inherent question of theatricality. Historical paintings dialogue with recent paintings, created especially for the occasion.
