Do not miss the exhibition "Voyage en Guyane, l'Amazonie Française" by Vincent Prémel and the Nature Conserv'Action association at Parc du Lunaret until November 10, 2020!
► Located in the north of Brazil on the South American continent, Guyana is an unusual department. Almost all of its surface is covered by one of the most biodiverse equatorial forests: the Amazon rainforest. The fauna and flora of this French department beyond the Atlantic Ocean are fragile and, for the most part, still unknown.
This singularity marked Vincent Prémel, biology student and amateur photographer, who spent three years on site, three years going out every week in the forest, on foot, in a canoe or in a helicopter ... because all means are good to get around by Guyana!
The open-air exhibition includes 32 large-scale visuals, produced by the educational service of Parc de Lunaret. It is located near the Howler Monkey Island of the Amazon greenhouse.
The Nature Conserv'action association is behind this exhibition. Its mission is to promote actions to conserve biodiversity, ranging from naturalist expeditions to scientific popularization. It also aims to create a network of professionals in the environmental sector. In 11 countries around the world, the association carries out its projects in collaboration with local stakeholders: collection of naturalistic data, training of teams and mediation with the population.
