The Place des Martyrs de la Résistance (Square of the members of the Resistance martyrs) is located in the historical centre of Montpellier.
It bears its name in honour of the martyrs of members of the Resistance, because the préfecture office close by was a transit area for members of the Resistance during the 2nd world war.
It is the perfect place to relax next to the Food market and to eat a snack under an olive tree. There is a big fountain, and a nice view of Rue Foch and the Trimphal Arch.
