The Radio France Occitanie Montpellier 2021 Festival takes place from July 10 to 30, 2021 under the banner of celebration!

155 concerts in 70 different places spread across Occitania. Note that this program will also shine beyond the region thanks to the recording and broadcasting of concerts by France Musique.
"Every concert is a celebration" is the motto of this new edition which will bring together 40 ensembles, 30 pianists and hundreds of other musicians to celebrate the return of Music after the long trials caused by the pandemic.
The Festival always accompanies the new stars of music: Jakub Józef Orliński, Benjamin Grosvenor, Alexandre Kantorow, Yoav Levanon, Filippo Gorini, Thibaut Garcia, Maïlys Maronne or Adriana Gonzalez. The festival's faithful, such as chefs Hervé Niquet, Santtu-Matias Rouvali, François-Xavier Roth, Cristian Măcelaru, Michael Schønwandt, Domingo Hindoyan, but also Sonya Yoncheva, Renaud Capuçon, Nicholas Angelich, Michel Dalberto, Bertrand Chamayou, or even Félicien Brut, Thomas Enhco, Magic Malik, the Ellipsos quartet will be at the rendezvous.
Designed in the form of thematic days, here are some highlights:
> July 14: Opening evening in Montpellier with the concert / ball of the Umlaut Big Band (in the gardens of Peyrou) and as part of the series Outdoor Jazz at the Parc Départemental du Château’ d'O.
> July 17-23: “Leçons de Ténèbres”, a cycle which will resonate with the music of Couperin, Charpentier, Gouffet, Brossard, Delalande, Lambert and Bouzignac in seven of the most important heritage sites in Occitania (Cahors, Conques, La Romieu, Montpellier, Narbonne, Perpignan, Saint-Lizier);
> July 24-25: “From the Earth to the Stars” around holiday music from around the world (Italy, Latin America, Piazzolla's centenary, etc.);
> July 26: "Bacchus" resurrection of Massenet's opera in concert version under the baton of Michael Schønwandt with tenor John Osborn leading a high-profile cast;
> July 30: Carte Blanche to soprano Sonya Yoncheva accompanied by her husband, conductor Domingo Hindoyan and the Orchester National de Montpellier.
