As part of the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier.
A musical universe that transcends borders.
The elusive Samuel Petit: while he made his name as pianist-keyboardist and arranger for the reggae group Sinsemilia, his eclectic career has taken him to Afro-Cuban, Gypsy, chanson and jazz projects. Inspired by the mixed worlds of Ibrahim Maalouf, Tigran Hamasyan and Chilly Gonzales, his recent album ?Todoben? navigates between jazz, classical and world music, revealing compositions that are both accessible and rich, popular and demanding.
On rhythm, Raj Dwidedi and Martial Hassler bring groove and roundness to a musical universe that transcends borders.
For many years now, the Festival has offered jazz concerts featuring students from the Jazz class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.
This year, these concerts will take place at the Kiosque Bosc, to celebrate the restoration of this bandstand, the former emblematic stage of the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle.
