Espace Saint-Ravy is pleased to welcome Natura Inquieta, an exhibition featuring three women artists from three different continents: Alice de Miramon, Shoko Watanabe and Nancy Guerrerro, from June 21 to July 13, 2025. They explore their relationship with nature through ceramics, painting, silkscreen and textiles.
The three artists propose a poetic journey questioning their relationship with nature and the worlds around them. Alice de Miramon, a Franco-American born in Africa, draws her inspiration from Japanese art, particularly portraits immersed in scenes of nature. She plays with media, using antique papers that she covers with her recognizable palette.
Creating a passageway between past and present, recycling is for her a symbolic act of appropriation and sublimation. The nature she depicts is not a pretext or backdrop. It is placed on the same level as human figures, perhaps even more resilient and omnipotent. Chilean artist Nancy Guerrero moves between sculpture and silkscreen, exploring the sometimes tumultuous interactions between humans and the natural world around them in a playful, unsettling monochrome graphic universe. Her smiling flowers create a tension between joy and anxiety. Born at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan, Shoko Watanabe works with recycled fabrics. She has an intimate and joyful relationship with nature, from which she draws her inspiration.
OPENING FRIDAY JUNE 20, 2025 AT 5:30 PM.
Free exhibition, Tuesday to Sunday, 11am to 7pm.
