Embark on over 800 years of history and relive the great epic of the Tour de la Babote. Originally a medieval defense tower, the building became an astronomical observatory in the 18th century, then the site of innovative experiments such as the parachute and the Chappe telegraph. Today, it is the headquarters of the Société Astronomique de Montpellier.
From the second floor, and thanks to numerous archive images, you'll understand the major role played by this tower in the city's urban and scientific development. A journey between earth and stars not to be missed.
