At the beginning of this beautiful circuit you will discover, along the banks of the Mosson, the surprising source of Avy. You will then reach the panoramic point of view of the cross of Guillery. After crossing the old agricultural and wine-growing plain, the tour will take you along the path once used by the salt caravans to the top of the partially wooded high rocky plateaus from where you will be able to admire very beautiful panoramas of the landscape, the Pic Saint-Loup and the surrounding massifs.
The name of Grabels comes from the Languedoc word "gran" (grain of wheat) and "bel" (of good size), which is why a sheaf of wheat appears on the town's coat of arms. As early as prehistoric times, inhabitants gathered near the Mosson river and cultivated the plain. Grabels lives in safety in its ramparts still rich in vestiges.
