La Menuiserie Collaborative (MCo), a third-party space dedicated to the woodworking trades, came into being in 2017 in Montpellier. Open to all, it brings together artisans and professionals from a variety of skills (joinery, cabinetmaking, ceramics, upholstery, bronze work...). With its cooperative status (SCIC), it includes employees, beneficiaries and partners in its governance. As a "Entreprise d?Insertion", it works actively with associations in priority neighborhoods (Tournezy, Prés d'Arènes, Saint-Martin, Mosson).

Its impact is manifold:
? Economic: development of the local timber industry.
? Societal: access for all to learn woodworking trades.
? Environmental: use of certified wood and waste recycling.
Since its creation, MCo has supported the birth and growth of around twenty craft businesses, and welcomed over 200 professionals and 1,000 private individuals to its workshop.
