Every July since 1985, the Radio France Occitanie Montpellier festival has been one of Montpellier's major events.
Numerous prestigious artists have been welcomed, from Yehudi Menuhin to Michel Petrucciani, from Claudio Abbado to Dee Dee Bridgewater, M. Rostropovitch,... alongside “young soloists” who are today: Fazil Say, Hélène Grimaud...
Today, the festival has been completely rethought, supported by its links with the great Radio France ensembles (Orch. Nat. de France, Orch. Philharmonique de Radio France...), and with France Musique in particular.
In Montpellier, its historic heart, the Festival is an artistic event of the highest calibre, combining the pleasure of listening to heritage and creative music with a sense of celebration.
Like Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Orange ...., the Festival is one of the must-see stops on your summer musical itinerary.
