A powerful documentary presented at the festival, followed by a discussion with director Caroline Breton.
A veritable wilderness reservoir, the Philippine archipelago boasts one of the richest biodiversities on the planet: tens of thousands of species, half of which exist nowhere else. Nestled on the island of Luzon, Mount Tapulao is a tropical paradise, still unknown to science, but also a symbol of the climatic and human threats that jeopardize these fragile ecosystems.
For the first time, a team of Franco-Philippine scientists, guided by naturalist climbers, will lead an expedition to inventory its flora and fauna. Their objective: to understand the upheavals affecting the various species and transform the area into a protected reserve.
Through breathtaking images, Tapulao: a mountain to protect highlights the issues involved in preserving this natural treasure for future generations.

Starts at 7pm ? free of charge
