Voix à tous les étages brings in a renowned teacher, Pierre Mervant, to give a short course on the fundamentals of voice.
Pierre Mervant is a singer and singing teacher. He taught at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM) from 2002 to 2012 ? but also voice pedagogy with choirs (Maîtrise de Radio France, Ch?ur National des Jeunes "A C?ur Joie", Ch?ur de l'Orchestre de Paris, Ch?ur de l'Orchestre National des Pays de Loire?) alongside conductors such as Toni Ramon, Claire Marchand, Daniel Bargier, Geoffroy Jourdain, Didier Bouture, Valérie Fayet ?
He began his singing career by devoting himself to Baroque music, as a chorister under the direction of J.C. Malgloire and M. Minkin. Malgloire and M. Minkowsky, or in small vocal ensembles (mainly the Sagittarius group, with whom he has recorded extensively). He then went on to become a soloist in a highly varied repertoire: oratorios, operas and recitals.
Pierre Mervant has succeeded in "popularizing" a complex approach to make it simple, limpid and accessible to all. With an almost scientific rigor, Pierre Mervant has built up his teaching, in which nothing is left to chance, and vocal beliefs are sometimes challenged by information from fields such as phoniatry.
