To mark the 20th anniversary of the death of the Occitan poet and writer Max Rouquette, two days of festivities will mark the inauguration of the new square that bears his name. This embellishment project is a key step in the transformation of the Arceaux district and, more broadly, of the town center.
To the east, the development was designed to strengthen the link with the Peyrou and extend the historic center, thanks to planted terraces and a fountain reminiscent of a waterfall. To the north, a tree-lined border features play and sports areas, as well as a food kiosk designed to enliven the square.
To the south of the aqueduct, planted "cool lounges" equipped with games complete the ensemble. Featuring 130 Mediterranean trees, this vast green space has been designed at children?s height to offer a variety of play areas and basketball courts.
