OSADOC, Orchestre Symphonique Amateur d'Occitanie, is organizing a concert on Sunday November 9, 2026, at 3pm, in the auditorium of Montpellier's Cité des Arts. For the occasion, and in support of OSADOC, musicians from the Orchestre National de Montpellier and the Cité des Arts will play a program ranging from Dvorak to Morricone.
The Orchestre symphonique amateur d'Occitanie has been in existence for 20 years, created at the instigation of the département and becoming an association in 2014.
Each year, 55 amateur musicians of all ages take part in a week of intense training during the first week of the spring vacations, culminating in a concert tour of the Hérault region.
Osadoc is also keen to bring music to a wider public, engaging in a regular partnership with Montpellier's CCAS to offer musical moments to EHPAD residents.
Osadoc also includes in its ranks child musicians from the MECS (children's social welfare home in Saint Pons-de-Thomières) for the concert in their commune. More information on the official website
