Discover the life of Claude Monet, "father of Impressionism"

This year marks the hundredth anniversary of the death of Claude Monet (1840-1926).

This is an opportunity to present the life and work of Claude Monet, "father of Impressionism". This lecture will take us through the artist's work, from his beginnings as a caricaturist to his final Water Lilies, which verge on abstraction.

Sometimes difficult to work with, quick to anger and discourage, Claude Monet was a hard worker who didn't hesitate to defy the elements to practice his passion.

Monet summed up his life best when he said: "What is there to say about me? What can there be to say, I ask you, about a man who is interested in nothing in the world but his painting - and also his garden and his flowers?
