As part of the What A Trip ! festival
Since the official resumption of tourism in Algeria in 2022, I can once again share my passion by accompanying travelers. I've just spent three months between sand and mountains, mainly in the Tassili and Tadrart massifs.
The mountains galvanize, transmitting a vertical energy that transcends and cleanses from head to toe. Rocks absorb torment. They are alive. I cry out, they send back subtle, powerful echoes. They speak to me. There have been tears to cleanse the soul and endless laughter to nourish it.
As for the sandy desert, it imposes silence, and I dare not disturb it. The horizontal immensity it projects invites contemplation. I cast my gaze far and wide over this world and my own. Lying on its curves, I vibrate gently against its soft, warm skin. The desert refines our priorities and washes away all non-existential concerns.
The photographs presented here cannot reflect the full dimension of the Sahara. They are merely small windows opening onto the intense light that the desert gives off. It's often said that you can't tell about the desert, nor can you show it: photos are not enough to apprehend it. You have to live it, experience it, feel it in its entirety. This exhibition is an invitation to discover it, a starting point for an immersion that will not leave you indifferent.
9am to 7pm: Monday to Saturday
