LaëJ's spiritual golden cracks on display at the Médiathèque
From March 4 to April 30, the Médiathèque Théodore Monod is hosting an exhibition by LaëJ, an artist from Montpellier whose mystical works highlight the vulnerability and imperfection of human beings.
The opening will take place on Saturday March 14, at 11am.
A graduate of ESMA (École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques) in Montpellier, LaëJ invites you into an obscure, spiritual universe, adorned with gold and cherubs, revealing the stories behind every wound.
Odes to fragility and imperfection, LaëJ?s works sublimate the crack, in a dialogue with the sacred art of gilding. The artist works on the notion of the flaw, questioning it with a fresh, benevolent and respectful eye.
