Les Itinérantes, a unique female vocal trio, draws its strength from the diversity of its repertoire. Supported by original arrangements, Manon Cousin, Pauline Langlois de Swarte and Élodie Pont perform a cappella songs from all eras, in over fifty different languages, as they roam through styles, time and space. Three musicians from very different worlds who have brought together their diverse influences - from early music to French chanson - to illustrate the themes that are dear to them: women, nature, travel and the imaginary, blending forgotten tales with original compositions.
The Maîtrise de l'IRVEM welcomes children aged 8 and over, teenagers and young adults. It performs in concerts and staged shows. Its repertoire ranges from the Middle Ages to contemporary music. Priority is given to vocal technique, the discovery of repertoires, musicality, and consideration of the meaning of words, history and the historical context of the work.
Bertille de Swarte, a singer (she has recorded several albums for organ and baroque plainchant), voice teacher and director of IRVEM, is in charge of the program. As a teacher, she meets all kinds of audiences on a daily basis: schoolchildren, young children, adults, professional singers and choirmasters.
