On Saturday, October 18, Line 1 of the tramway officially begins service to the Montpellier Sud de France TGV station.
This extension will link the two main stations, Saint-Roch and Sud de France, in 20 minutes.
To celebrate this launch, a free day of festivities will be held in the Place Françoise Héritier, a stone's throw from the new Line 1 terminus near Montpellier Sud de France station, from 11 a.m. onwards:
DJ sets all day long,
Street-art performances,
Professional breakdance battle,
Workshops and entertainment for all ages.
The first official service on the extended Line 1 will take place at 12 noon. Passengers are invited to use their Free Pass to inaugurate this new route.
