The 21st edition of the "Jazz in Lez" jazz music festival takes place on March 13, 20 and 27 at 8:30 p.m. at Kiasma
The Jazz in Lez festival will be held over three Fridays, and in addition to the concerts, the public will have the opportunity to learn how to swing.
On the program:
friday March 13 at 8:30pm: ROYAL SWING
The Royal Swing group traverses the great jazz and swing themes of the 20s and 50s with incredible energy! Surrounded by virtuoso musicians, Amélie Barthe?s charismatic voice adds a vibrant, spellbinding dimension to the group?s aerial choruses, beautifully articulated in a shared breath. Perfect harmony between voice and instruments.
friday March 20 at 8:30pm: COFFEE GRINDERS QUINTET
The Coffee Grinders Quintet is made up of swing enthusiasts such as Goodman, Armstrong, Reinhardt... Young people touched to the depths of their souls by this music will help you discover or rediscover it.
From vituoso flights to mournful melodies, the journey will be an invitation to dance and listen. A festive tribute to the great names of jazz
friday, March 27, 8:30pm: BANAN'N JUG
Following in the footsteps of the jug bands of the early 20th century, the four musicians of Banan?N Jug unabashedly revisit blues, jazz, Bahamian calypsos, Jamaican mentos and more? Driven by a boundless energy, the group appropriates the "Jug Spirit" with humor and generosity, refusing to compromise between artistic demands and freedom of tone.
An energetic project in a sunny universe.
Concerts at Kiasma, with dancing and refreshments available.
