The Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale is organizing an Alzheimer?s disease awareness day on Saturday September 20, 2025 at the Polygone Montpellier (Patio FNAC).
On the program: an information stand and discussions with volunteers to better understand the disease, advances in research and means of prevention.
Since 2018, the FRM has funded 63 projects for ?14.4 million, making it one of the leading charitable funders of Alzheimer?s research. In Montpellier, the Institute of Functional Genomics is leading an innovative project (Laurent Givalois, ?75,000) on a light-activated drug.
The aim is to raise public awareness in the run-up to World Alzheimer's Day on September 21.
