La Comédie du Livre ? 10 jours en mai is a general literary festival organized since 1986 by Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, in collaboration with the region's independent bookshops. Despite the budgetary challenges facing many cultural events, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and its partners (Centre National du Livre, Région Occitanie, Sofia) are reaffirming their commitment to books and reading as vectors of emancipation and sharing.
Each edition offers a rich and daring program, organized around several themes: a carte blanche for an author, a spotlight on publishers, an exploration of European and international literature, and a focus on youth and comics. The event gives pride of place to new voices and independent publishing.
