Since 2001, La Garriga's Languedoc crib has aimed to give as faithful a representation as possible of life in our region around the middle of the 19th century, using typical architectural elements, traditional trades, period costumes?
With almost 250 santons dressed in 40 m² of décor, this is not a simple nativity scene, but the representation of a village in the Montpellier region.
That's why we call it a "Languedocienne" crib
Costumes and buildings are replicas of those in existence at the time, and adjacent panels provide useful explanations of architecture and lifestyle.
Nothing is forgotten: the cultivation of vines and olive trees, sheep farming, the small trades of yesteryear, Montpellier's colorful characters, traditional dances (animated by mechanisms), jousts...
Free admission.
Open from Sunday, December 21, 2025 to Friday, January 2, 2026 inclusive
From 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm
(including public holidays but at the following times: 3pm to 6pm)
Free admission.
