To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, Pierresvives is adapting its program with the major exhibition Vivre la Guerre en Hérault. The department, even in the free zone, bore the full brunt of the Vichy regime. The people of Hérault have told us all about their childhoods, the first actions of the Resistance, supplies and daily life. This selection is based on hundreds of hours of footage collected by the Archives between 2007 and 2011: André Robert, Brigitte Barthès, Louis Bernard and Simone Demangel recount life in the Hérault during these dark years.
