Hugo by Hugo! A resurrected Victor Hugo, fiery, tender or angry, embodied in strength and finesse by Pierre Jouvencel, who confides in the audience as he retraces his life from birth to death.

The milestones of this extraordinary life are illustrated by
and his most emblematic speeches. A man of struggle and conviction, his words resonate more than ever with our contemporary times.

Victor Hugo, the man of the century, was both an artist of genius and a major player in 19th-century French politics, as well as a thinker who enlightened his time and still shines with magnificent intensity today.

This show, written by Pierre Jouvencel, was awarded the prize for best contemporary playwright at the Avignon le off 2022 festival, and continues to enjoy increasing success each year
