Which eco-responsible labels or CSR approaches should you choose?
We can advise you! For example, the European Ecolabel, Clef verte and Hôtels au naturel labels are interesting for accommodation that controls its energy and water consumption (natural light, renewable energy, presence detectors, etc.).
For gîtes and chambres d’hôtes, you can extend your choice to the Gîtes Panda and Ecogîte labels; and for campsites to Via Natura.
For restaurants, with Ecotable, Food Index for Good and Clef verte, you can be sure of fresh, local, seasonal produce, as well as responsible purchasing and short distribution channels…
If you’re a cycle-tourist, the Accueil Vélo-labelled establishments are made for you. You’ll be welcome to take your bike with you, wash it and/or carry out minor repairs, and take advantage of dedicated services such as the possibility of recharging your bike, luggage transfer, packed lunches at your accommodation, etc., as well as getting good practical advice on what to see and do.
For accessible establishments, the Tourisme et Handicap label guarantees
an independent stay (remember to search by type of disability).
If you’re an organic enthusiast, you can rely on the Ecocert, AB, Agriculture Raisonnée and Demeter (non-exhaustive list) labels, which guarantee that your products (food, wine, cosmetics, textiles) come from organic or biodynamic farming.
Lastly, ISO 20121 certification guarantees that your event service providers (including venues, caterers and events) have a strong CSR policy, a responsible purchasing policy and concrete continuous improvement actions on the 3 pillars of sustainable development (environmental, social and local).
