The Château des Evêques (Bishops’ Castle) was built in the 18th century in a park planted with cypress trees, plane trees and magnolias, on the site of an old feudal castle.

The château features a remarkable fortified door, as well as a music room with ornamental plasterwork. It was the summer residence of the bishops of Montpellier, including the respected Joachim Colbert de Croissy, nephew of the great Colbert.
