The cultural offering in terms of primitive art is enriched this year in Montpellier : a new museum has opened in the Beaux Arts district, dedicated to artistic representations of female fecundity through the ages and across world cultures.
Art lovers, health professionals, pregnant women and their families, students, visitors, will be seduced by the rich iconography, the unusual objects, the presentation in French and English, and the anecdotes told by the collector.
The exhibition is divided into geographical areas, thus revealing the infinite variety of styles and interpretations on a universal theme, responding to the existential anxieties of women facing uncertainties regarding their fecundity.
Dr. Vincent Fauveau has traveled the world for forty years of a professional life dedicated to women's health, collecting objects of a wide variety and often very surprising.
