In Montpellier, in a space located in the Gambetta district, the Fonds régional d?art contemporain Occitanie Montpellier offers monographic and group exhibitions, events and meetings, and a range of tailor-made tours.
The primary mission of the Frac, supported by the Occitanie Region and the French Ministry of Culture, is to build up a collection. This collection is a living entity that is constantly active and on show, not only in Occitanie but throughout France and the rest of the world, where its works are loaned year-round to museums, art centers, associations and heritage sites, as well as to schools, community halls, social and rural centers?
In 2024, the Frac will have 1501 works by 524 artists of all nationalities, representing the diversity of creation. Since September 2023, the Frac Occitanie Montpellier has been directed by Éric Mangion.
