Created in 2013, the Confucius Institute in Montpellier was founded through an agreement between the University of Montpellier and the University of Science and Technology of China in Chengdu.

Open to everyone—children, adults, enthusiasts, or those who are simply curious—the Institute aims to introduce Chinese language and culture to as many people as possible.

Throughout the year, we offer Chinese language courses for all levels, as well as numerous cultural activities (workshops, conferences, exhibitions, shows, etc.).
