The Institut des Hautes Etudes de Journalisme is a private school offering a Bachelor's degree in Journalism in Montpellier.
HEJ's teaching methodology is based on FOUR fundamental SKILLS, which draw on all the techniques, expertise, and knowledge taught in class:
• PRODUCING AN ARTICLE
• PRODUCING AND CONDUCTING AN ORAL INTERVIEW
• DESIGNING AND DISTRIBUTING MULTIMEDIA JOURNALISTIC CONTENT
• LEADING AN EDITORIAL TEAM
The curriculum at the Institut des Hautes Études de Journalisme is organized around:
• Theoretical courses (approximately 25 hours per week)
• Intensive weeks (writing techniques, web techniques, television, Duplex radio, and Mojo)
• Long-term projects (with a specific theme: politics, culture, sports, etc.)
• Masterclasses with external figures who come to share their experience
• An annual internship lasting at least two months with our network of partners.
