There are three canoe and kayak routes down the gorges de l'Hérault: a family-friendly 9km descent (from Saint Bauzille de Putois to Aubanel), which takes around 2h30 without a break.
A more technical descent over numerous rapids (from Ganges to Saint Bauzille de Putois). Around 6km in the gorges, to be completed in around 1h30 without a break.
And a 15km "adventure" descent from Ganges to Aubanel, which takes around 4 hours without a break.
Canoes can be hired for as long as you like, and picnics can be brought along in the watertight canisters provided.
