Located 200 meters from the Peyrou Gardens and close to Place de la Canourgue, La Coquille café-restaurant has been a Montpellier institution since 1971.
Originally run by their parents, Georges and Anna Nedjar, sisters Isabelle and Laurence continue to carry on this family legacy.
Many come for the generous portions, but also for the quality service, good humor, friendliness, and devastating wit! The cuisine is prepared with fresh market produce and presented on the blackboard. The chef offers specials such as couscous royal on Tuesdays, as well as traditional and international cuisine.
In summer: ice cream available at all hours: to take away (tub/cone) or to eat in, served in a cup. Around fifteen traditional flavors are available à la carte.
