An international artist renowned for the singularity and power of his pictorial language, Arthur Yang has chosen La Galerie Électrique in Montpellier to present his only exhibition in France.
It's a fitting choice for an artist whose career has spanned the major international art scenes, and whose work, both demanding and free, has established itself as a contemporary benchmark over the last few decades.
From January 29 to March 29, Galerie Électrique will host an exceptional presentation, bringing together for the first time in France several major ensembles from Arthur Yang?s oeuvre, in a scenography designed as a coherent, immersive and rigorously constructed reading.
In Montpellier, Arthur Yang takes over 250 m² of La Galerie Électrique for an exhibition conceived as an artistic narrative, traversing his major cycles, his plastic research and his variations in scale? from the monumental to the infinitely small.
Visitors will discover a vibrant, instinctive and profoundly human work, in which color, matter and movement compose a universal language, open to interpretation and emotion. A painting that does not impose itself, but invites, challenges and questions.
