Espace Dominique Bagouet is pleased to welcome Christine Masduraud?s exhibition Là où commence la mue, from February 11 to April 5, 2026.
Highlighting the artist?s work with women in exile, this exhibition brings together highly sensitive collective creations, in dialogue with the artist?s personal production.
The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in a visual and cultural universe where craftsmanship and life stories come together.
Exhibition opening Tuesday February 10, 6.30pm.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Mondays)
Conceived with the association B comme Bombyx, which helps women refugees and asylum seekers, the Là où commence la mue project opens up a space for dialogue between art, current affairs and individual experience. This artistic collaboration stems from an idea put forward by the association: to offer women in exile embroidery workshops guided by Christine Masduraud, a time for sharing, sheltered from the noise of the world. Embroidery, an ancestral, manual gesture, becomes a form of reparation, a place of self-invention between here and elsewhere. At the same time, the artist feeds these encounters into her own practice, creating personal pieces that extend this experience of sharing.
With its highly social and inclusive dimension, the Là où commence la mue project invites us to reconsider migratory paths, by strengthening links between exiled people, artists, cultural players and residents of the Montpellier metropolitan area.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm
Free admission
Free guided tours?
Weekly: Saturday and Sunday at 3pm
