LE LIVRE ET MOI

How do you create a book? What are the different stages, who are the different professionals involved, what skills are needed? These questions no longer hold any secrets for the schoolchildren who took part in this year?s "Le livre et moi" literary promotion initiative! The book and me, a unique experience where every page written and turned will leave an imprint on you forever. The Médiathèque départementale?s mission is to develop public reading in the Hérault department, in particular by offering awareness-raising operations for all publics, and as close to them as possible. To counter certain studies showing that teenagers are dropping out when it comes to reading and writing, the Médiathèque départementale has created the "Le livre et moi" literary development project. The aim is to help secondary school students create an illustrated collection and discover the different links in the book chain. This year, a class of 4th graders from the Paul Dardé secondary school in Lodève was able to take part in this literary project. From March 31 to April 25 at the Pierresvives multimedia library, come and discover a presentation of this project, an introduction to the book chain, artists? books from the art library and a self-service writing workshop.
