In a desperate attempt to make his love known to the beautiful and prudish Marianne, Coelio enlists his libertine and depraved friend Octave to convince her to take him as her lover. The eminent Justice of the Peace Claudio, the girl's jealous husband, tries to put a stop to these impudent suitors.
Les Caprices de Marianne by Compagnie Caprices is set in a dark and disquieting universe. Throughout the play, threads of light and shadow weave between the characters, following paths that border on German Expressionism and dark romanticism. A tortuous comedy set in perpetual night.
