Festival of ancient music in MagueloneWhat is it ?
Every year, the Festival de Maguelone returns to enchant late spring with four precious events, held in the singular cathedral of the sands, lost behind its ganivelle-edged dunes and lulled by the distant presence of the sea.
A lover of all kinds of heritage, passionate about the Montpellier region and quick to build bridges between the arts, the festival has multiplied the number of off-the-beaten-track concerts, without ever losing sight of its primary mission: to bring together the stones and people of the beauty dreamt of centuries ago.
2026 Programme:
Highlights include:
- the closing concert featuring Jordi Savall and the Hespèrion XXI ensemble, exploring the art of variation and improvisation
- the festival’s tribute to Denis Raisin Dadre, notably by the Doulce Mémoire ensemble, which the musician founded
- the participation of young European artists with the Théodora ensemble
