Description
The Montpellier Occitanie National Orchestra comes alive under the baton of Ana María Patiño-Osorio.
Born in Colombia in 1995, this young musician won first prize at the prestigious Malko Competition in Copenhagen in 2024 and is principal assistant conductor of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Her energetic baton promises an intense performance. At her side, the young Viennese violin prodigy, Leonhard Baumgartner (born in 2007, winner of the 2024 Eurovision Young Musicians competition) will take center stage in Brahms’s Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77.
Then the orchestra will immerse itself in Ginastera’s Argentina with *Estancia*, a vibrant portrayal of folk dances, before igniting the stage with Stravinsky’s *The Firebird*. This superb ballet music, with its sparkling orchestral magic, unleashes its primal energy in a fiery climax. Three works, three worlds—the journey promises passion and wonder.
