A popular place to take a stroll these days, the Domaine de Méric was once the country home of Frédéric Bazille’s family.

The story of a place, the story of a man, it was in this haven of peace and inspiration that the painter exercised his talent at the end of the 19th century. This place was one of the stages in the revolution towards more lively plein-air painting.

A movement that came to be known as Impressionism, four years after Bazille’s death. Enjoy an exclusive view of Castelneau-le-Lez from the terrace of the Mas.
