The traditional village and the beaches
An old fishing village
Located 20 minutes from Montpellier at the mouth of the Lez, it owes its name to the term “palus-avis”: “the marsh with birds”. It offers summer visitors shops, banks, restaurants, cafés, a casino, water sports, boat hire and numerous hotels and campsites.
Palavas-les-Flots Beaches
Palavas-les-Flots offers no less than 7 km of family beaches and quality sports facilities. It is an excellent spot for beach volleyball, windsurfing and kite-surfing!
