Clapiers

Description

12 ?uvres à ciel ouvert? Few towns in the Montpellier metropolitan area can claim to have inspired the painters of yesteryear. Clapiers is an exception, thanks to two artists deeply attached to the village: Max Leenhardt and Georges Dezeuze. Both immortalized Clapiers in numerous works, capturing its landscapes, its light and its identity. To highlight this unique artistic heritage, the town has created a "Chemin des Peintres". This route invites visitors to discover a selection of works by the two artists, reproduced on lava slabs and installed in various emblematic locations in the village. Designed as a walk accessible to all, the circuit can be discovered on foot, by bike or in a baby carriage, for a cultural stroll to share with family and friends.
