Few towns in the Montpellier metropolitan area can claim to have inspired the painters of yesteryear. Clapiers is an exception, thanks to two artists deeply attached to the village: Max Leenhardt and Georges Dezeuze. Both immortalized Clapiers in numerous works, capturing its landscapes, its light and its identity.
To highlight this unique artistic heritage, the town has created a "Chemin des Peintres". This route invites visitors to discover a selection of works by the two artists, reproduced on lava slabs and installed in various emblematic locations in the village.
Designed as a walk accessible to all, the circuit can be discovered on foot, by bike or in a baby carriage, for a cultural stroll to share with family and friends.
