The Swinging Montpellier festival is an international festival dedicated to swing music and dance. For a long weekend , Montpellier dances swing, and more precisely Lindy Hop, Roots jazz and even Charleston. The Swinging Montpellier festival takes place in the heart of summer (3rd weekend of July), in heritage places in the city of Montpellier and brings together dancers and swing jazz enthusiasts from the 4 corners of the planet as well as learners, jazz lovers or simple passing tourists. Demanding and popular, this event was designed as a time for sharing, its programming is 80% free: concerts at Peyrou, swing balls, battles, introductions to swing dances, conferences, access to the village swing are open to all. Only masterclasses are subject to paid ticketing.
