Description
This summer, MO.CO. Panacée is organizing a group show exploring monstrous and mutant forms in contemporary art. Closely akin to the abject, the monstrous disrupts identity, systems and the established order, with no respect for boundaries, positions or norms.
In an immersive, labyrinthine scenography, À fleur de peau plays with our unconscious fears and desires. The exhibition is a further opportunity for the MO.CO. to affirm its support for artists by producing new works, in particular those by Montpellier-based artists who have recently graduated from the MO.CO. Esba, Nuria Mokhtar and Arthur Monteillet, or in the case of Dorota Gaw?da and Egl? Kulbokait? to imagine ambitious adaptations of existing works. A number of artists will be presented for the first time in a French institution, including Sue Coe, Keunmin Lee, Dorota Gaw?da and Egl? Kulbokait? and Brilant Milazimi, Sibylle Ruppert and Michelle Uckotter.
The exhibition is supported by Fluxus Art Projects and Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council.
From June 13 to October 12, 2026
