Description

Discover the delicate and fascinating art of marbled paper, a technique used for centuries to decorate books and precious documents. The Archives départementales de l?Hérault invite you to take part in a creative and immersive workshop dedicated to this artistic practice. During this workshop, you will learn the basic principles of marbled paper: preparing inks, manipulating colors on the surface of water and creating unique motifs inspired by natural and abstract forms. Each participant will be able to experiment with different techniques and leave with his or her own personalized creations. Accessible to all, with no particular prerequisites, this workshop is a convivial opportunity to discover artisanal know-how while exploring your own creativity. You'll also learn more about the history and uses of marbled paper, particularly in archive heritage. Adults and children aged 8 and over (accompanied). On-line registration required in the Pierresvives diary from 15/06.
