Now in his eighties, he still keeps the flame burning with the same fervor, surrounded by elite musicians who are often not even half his age. Keith Jarrett, Michel Petrucciani, Brad Mehldau, Jason Moran: over the years, the greatest pianists have succeeded one another at his side, a torch now brilliantly taken up by Gerald Clayton.
