Description
As part of its flagship event: L'Herbier révélé: entre savoirs scientifiques et regards artistiques,
Les Amis du Jardin des Plantes have invited visual artist Ursula CARUEL to take over the Orangerie du Jardin des Plantes de Montpellier, from June 12 to July 12, 2026, from 1 to 6 pm.
Throughout the 4 seasons, Ursula Caruel has collected foliage and plants in the alleys of Montpellier's Jardin des Plantes, France's oldest botanical garden.
The installation Les longs fils clairs de la lumière brings together almost 800 dried plants, in the form of a 27-metre-long artistic herbarium, echoing the plates in the scientific herbarium of the University of Montpellier and testifying to the botanical wealth of the garden and its collections.
Free admission
The association will also be offering free artistic workshops during the exhibition.
