Description
From June 19 to 21, 2026, the town of Castries is organizing the festival ?Italia! La Dolce Vita à Castries avec Volpiano? in the courtyard of the Château. The program includes Italian gastronomy, concerts, tastings and a music festival to celebrate Franco-Italian friendship.
Program and highlights
Italian gastronomy :
On-site or takeaway tastings of Piedmontese craft beers, spritz, wines, specialities from Piedmont, Sicily and Veneto (pasta, ravioli, cold meats, cheeses, traditional breads).
Saturday June 20 from 12pm: Tasting of agnolotti (Piedmont ravioli) offered by the Pro Loco association of Volpiano.
Culinary exchange: in 2025, Castries introduced Volpiano to brasucade (mussels); in 2026, Volpiano shares agnolotti.
Musical program:
Friday June 19, 8:30pm: Concert by Banda Sonante (Italian chanson, swing, funky-latin, traditional music from southern Italy, Italian jazz).
Saturday June 20, 8:30pm: Concert by Crimi (modern soul from Sicily, jazz and funk influences, Mediterranean traditions, Neapolitan songs, serenades, Sicilian songs).
Sunday June 21, 6pm to 11pm: Fête de la Musique, with six amateur artists/groups/DJs from Castries.
