Meet Rabelais, Nostradamus, François Gigot, Lapeyronie, and Glafira Ziegelemann, one of the very first students at the faculty. Learn more about doctoral defenses and their traditions, in front of the bust of Hippocrates. A tour through the prestigious halls to grasp the history of Montpellier medicine and the life of the faculty from yesterday to today. The tour includes access to the courtyard of the former convent, the Council Chamber and/or the Assembly Hall, and the Delmas Orfila Rouvière Room. The anatomy museum is closed for renovations, and the Tekné Makré anatomy rooms are not included in the tour. The tour is not accessible to people with limited mobility, children under 12, pregnant women, or people allergic to formaldehyde. Access to the Actes or Council Room is subject to availability. By reservation only Meet in front of the former Faculty of Medicine, 2 Rue de l’École de Médecine. Not permitted for children under 12.
